Mohamed Salah’s teammate made a stunning claim that Eden Hazard was a better footballer than the Egyptian.
Curtis Jones caught flak from Liverpool fans after he made a candid assessment to resolve the ongoing comparisons between Eden Hazard and Mohamed Salah.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank has revealed the best club in world football currently.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has slammed Arsenal’s business in last summer’s transfer window.
What Jones said
The 24-year-old Liverpool midfielder had an interview with Rio Ferdinand for TNT Sport, where he admitted to preferring Hazard over his teammate, citing childhood memories.

Jones went as far as explicitly stating that the Belgian was the better footballer; however, he left in a little caveat, adding that Mohamed Salah was more of a guarantee in competitive settings.
“I know this might go a little bit left with our fans because the comparison is always there, but Hazard is the one,” Jones told Ferdinand.
“I know we compare him with Mo all the time and I’ve been into it with Mo. I play it from, who I saw as a kid when I loved the game and I wanted to be like a player.
“I feel like it was Hazard. Every game, I’d watch him, just like, ‘wow, that’s football.’ Now he’s, I wouldn’t say he’s disrespected, but he wouldn’t come into certain talks that he should.
“It’s a talk I’ve had with Mo and all the lads. As a footballer, is he better than Mo? In my opinion, yes. But who would you rather have in your team? They’re going to say Mo because he gets you your goals and assists.”
The interviewer (Ferdinand) chimed in: “I’d pay to go and see Hazard first, but if I’m going to pick a team to win a game, I’m picking Salah.”
Curtis responded in the affirmative: “Yeah, exactly, for sure, it’s as simple as that.”
The reactions
The moment of candour was not well received by Liverpool fans, who, in droves, went after Jones for what, in their perspective, is heresy.
“Even if that is true, which it isn’t, why would you say that to the media in the middle of a season about your own TEAMMATE,” the top comment read.
A less understanding fan said, “He’s a disgrace. No idea why hes having any input anyway. He’s shite.” Another added, asking, “How does Salah manage to handle all this disrespect from his teammates and his club?”
A fourth said, “This is poor judgement from Curtis, who is not much liked by the fanbase… During a title push, with Mo’s contract in the balance, he would have nothing if it wasn’t for Mo.”
In the wake of the reaction from Liverpool fans, Jones shared a video of himself and Salah on social media with the caption, “The one I’d rather have in my team.”
Currently now Hazard can’t be better than Salah because is more good and better than him
