When asked the age-old question of whether Ronaldo or Messi reigns supreme, Zaha responded with admiration for both but ultimately sided with the Argentine maestro.

The Ivorian forward replied, “I’d have to say Messi. Ronaldo is an amazing goalscorer, but Messi is all-round.
“He can do everything. He’s technically good, he’s fast, his dribbling is amazing, and his vision is unreal. For me, Messi is the complete footballer.”
While acknowledging Ronaldo’s goal-scoring ability, the former Lyon and Manchester United star praised Messi’s comprehensive skill set, which he believes sets him apart.
Zaha set for new chapter in MLS
Zaha’s comments come as he embarks on a new adventure with Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC. The 32-year-old has joined the North Carolina-based club on loan until January 2026, with an option to extend until June of that year.

Charlotte FC general manager Zoran Krneta expressed excitement about the acquisition, labelling Zaha as a “world-class talent” and “elite goalscorer.”
Zaha’s storied career includes 458 appearances for Crystal Palace, where he scored 90 goals and became a club legend.
