Jamaican track legend Usain Bolt doesn’t fancy his chances in a race against Justin Gatlin as he the declared the American is just ‘too good in a shape’.
World’s fastest man alive Usain Bolt has declined a possible race with his fierce American rival Justin Gatlin, declaring he’s ‘too good’ and will most likely beat him.
On the Ready Set Go podcast hosted by Bahamian track icon Rodney Green and Gatlin, the sprint legends reminisced their rivalry and career, and what the present generation has to offer.

When asked if he would agree to a rematch with Gatlin, Bolt said: “I’m ready, just for the fun of it. I’m ready, let’s go. It’ll be fun.”
However, the Jamaican then declined, stating how much Gatlin was in better shape.

Usain Bolt gave his unique in depth experience of his rivalry with Justin Gatlin and winning the epic 100m showdown at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing.
“Nah man, Justin, him? He’s in too good of a shape. Bro I see him doing starts all the time. I asked him, I text him, ‘Bro, why are you in such good shape?”
Bolt and Gatlin first faced each other in a major event in the 100m final at London 2012. The race ended in victory for the Jamaican legend with an Olympic Record time of 9.63s, whilst Gatlin finished in third.

Usain Bolt revealed his dream 100m lineup, which surprisingly has the absence of Christian Coleman and Carl Lewis, while Noah Lyles is included.
However, the American would finally beat him in a major championship final at the London 2017 World Championship as Bolt claimed the bronze medal behind rising sprint sensation Christian Coleman.
It was Bolt’s last career race in the 100m, which was a heartbreaking loss to the sprint icon and many track fans.

Despite shutting down a rematch with the 2004 Olympic champion, the eight-time Olympic gold medallist went on to put together his dream 100m line-up he would have loved to race during his career.
“Me, you, Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell, Yohan Blake. I would definitely like to compete against Maurice Green, Ben Johnson. Let’s give Noah (Lyles) the spot just because I would love to race against him.”
Bolt remains the 100m and 200m world record holder at respective times of 9.58s and 19.19s and is unarguably the greatest sprinter in history.
