Arsenal defender William Saliba has made it clear that he has no plans to leave the club, despite reports linking him with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The French centre-back has been a key player for the Gunners and remains focused on achieving success in North London.

Saliba has been named in the Premier League team of the season twice, but he is yet to win a trophy at Arsenal.

Saliba: “I am really happy here”

Speaking to the media before their UEFA Champions League match against PSV, Saliba was asked directly about his long-term future at Arsenal. He responded with confidence, insisting that he is fully committed to the club.

“I am really happy here. I want to continue here,” he said, shutting down speculation about a potential transfer.

When questioned about ongoing contract negotiations, the 23-year-old explained that there is no rush to extend his current deal, which runs until 2027.

“Not yet, there’s some years left. There’s no rush. I am happy here. That’s it,” he added.

Saliba also reaffirmed his ambition to win major honours with Arsenal. The Gunners have been competing at the top of the Premier League and are also looking to make an impact in the Champions League.

“Yeah, of course I want to win big things with Arsenal,” he stated, reassuring fans that he is committed to achieving his dreams at the Emirates.

With Saliba’s contract set to enter its final two years this summer, there have been rumours of a potential move to Real Madrid, especially as the Gunners have struggled to secure a Premier League title despite mounting a challenge for the last three seasons.
