Tottenham full-back Djed Spence is feeling confident about his chances of keeping Mohammed Salah quiet in the Carabao Cup clash against Liverpool.
Salah will be key to Liverpool’s chances of reaching the Carabao Cup final when they take on Tottenham in the second leg of their semi-final clash on Thursday.
The Egyptian forward has made 42 goal contributions in 33 appearances across all competitions so far this season and boasts an impressive record against Spurs, having scored 14 goals in 22 games.
If Salah scores a brace on Thursday, he will move level with Manchester United as the team he has been most prolific against.
The 32-year-old has scored a remarkable 16 goals against United in just 17 games.

Spence acknowledged the challenge that Salah poses but expressed his determination to come out on top.
“I back myself against any winger, Salah or whoever,” the 24-year-old said.
He continued, “I back myself against anyone. [Salah] is a great player, a top player. He’s in good form also. You’ve just got to nullify what he’s good at it, really.
“He’s good at a lot of things, I just gotta stay focused on it and hopefully come out on top. We’re always ready. We’ve got to be confident and we gotta be ready to fight and hopefully we make it to the final,” he concluded.
Tottenham are hoping to reach the Carabao Cup final for the first time since they lifted the trophy back in 2008, while Liverpool are the defending champions having beaten Chelsea 1-0 in last year’s final.
