Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi has revealed how he started his football career before becoming a superstar.

The 28-year-old midfielder joined Arsenal’s first squad after rising through the ranks at the Hale End Football Academy.

He then moved to Everton in 2019 and spent four years at Goodison Park. In 2022, he made a transfer move to Fulham and has had an instant impact on the team.

Iwobi also made a decision to play for the Super Eagles after playing for England at a young age as well.

Speaking on the Fulham Fix Podcast, he said, “My parents said I could run before I started walking.

“They told me I’d sit down, and in a split second, I’d sprint around the flat and they were thinking this baby is on crack.

“When I was a kid, I was very excited, used to run around, slide tackle balloons, kick chairs, kick anything in sight, so, I was just an energetic weird child,”

Iwobi has since then grown from being the weird kid to becoming an important part of Fulham’s squad this season.

In 26 Premier League games this season, the midfielder has scored seven goals and provided three assists in the EPL.
