The Islamic Republic of Iran has boosted its near-bomb-grade uranium stockpile, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) alerted on Wednesday.

The United Nations agency stated that the “increased production and accumulation of high enriched uranium by Iran is of serious concern.”

Iran is the only non-nuclear weapon state to amass uranium and analysts estimate that its current reserve can produce five or six atomic bombs.

Iranian media outlets recently quoted General Ebrahim Jabbari, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as saying, “Operation True Promise 3 will be carried out at the right time.”

General Jabbari said the attack would be done with precision, “and on a scale sufficient to destroy Israel and raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground.”

President Donald Trump has been vocal against Iran’s nuclear buildup and vowed that the United States would crumble the regime’s financial sources.

The U.S. on Monday announced new punitive actions, accusing “illicit shipping facilitators” of loading and transporting Iranian oil for sale to buyers in Asia.

The Department of State and the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned 22 persons and flagged 13 vessels for dealing in Iran’s petroleum and petrochemical industry.

Both the Republican and Democratic administrations in the United States have designated Iran as a state-sponsor of terrorism.
