The head of the United States, US, Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, Elon Musk, on Friday described Vice President JD Vance as ‘future president’.
Musk, a tech billionaire hinted that Vance will some day follow the footsteps of President Donald Trump.
Posting on X, Musk described Vance as the best Vice President the US ever had.
“Best VP ever and our future President,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Vance is the third-youngest US vice president in history and one of the least experienced, having previously served just one term as a senator.
Musk was Trump’s top donor during the 2024 presidential campaign and upon assumption of office, the US president established DOGE and made him the head of the department.
Trump gave Musk and his team the powers to reduce government spendings and ensure efficiency.
Vance was an uncompromising “Never Trumper” at the time of Trump’s first election, labeling the conservative tycoon “a moral disaster” and comparing him to Adolf Hitler.
But Vance reinvented himself when he entered politics, winning Trump’s endorsement in the 2022 Ohio Senate race.
