Jhon Duran was sent off in a thrilling affair at Riyadh as Al-Nassr’s seven-match unbeaten run in the Saudi Pro League came to an end.
It was a frustrating outing for Stefano Pioli’s men, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, who were stunned by two goals from former Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.
Wijnaldum equalised after Aidan Yahya opened the scoring for the hosts before Mohammed Al Fatil restored the hosts advantage.
Al Fatil scored at the other end with eight minutes to go and Wijnaldum popped up with the winner seven minutes later to complete the turnaround.
The game finished with some late drama as Jhon Duran’s petulant swipe at an opponent earned him a red card in stoppage time.
