The Jigawa State House of Assembly has approved the bill seeking to establish the Hisbah Corps after its third reading on Tuesday.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, along with other lawmakers, deliberated on and finalized the approval of the bill.
Governor Umar Namadi had earlier forwarded the proposal to the Assembly, which has now given its approval.
The Hisbah Corps plays a key role in assisting predominantly Muslim states in Nigeria by curbing social vices and promoting moral discipline, particularly among the youth.
