Job Description

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and monitoring accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
  • Process and reconcile customer payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with customers to ensure timely collections.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer queries.
  • Prepare accounts receivable reports and provide regular updates to supervisor.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and resolve disputes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 – 7 years of proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in the use of Quick Books and MicrosoftExcel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

2.)  Accountant

Job Location: Eputu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial activities of the bar, lounge, and salon business.
  • This includes recording transactions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure the business’s financial health while maintaining a clear understanding of industry-specific challenges.

Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure the business meets its financial obligations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Revenue and Expense Tracking:

  • Track sales and revenue from bar, lounge, and salon operations.
  • Monitor and control operational costs, including inventory, staffing, and supplies.
  • Conduct cost analyses to identify areas for efficiency and improvement.

Payroll & Tax Compliance:

  • Process payroll, including tips and commissions for bar and salon staff.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Prepare and file VAT, income tax, and other required tax returns.

Inventory and Asset Management:

  • Oversee inventory accounting for beverages, salon products, and supplies.
  • Track depreciation and maintenance costs for equipment and assets.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage budgets for each business segment.
  • Provide financial forecasts to guide strategic planning.
  • Identify potential financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Internal Controls and Audit:

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare for and assist with external audits when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting for hospitality, retail, or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Partly qualified ICAN student can apply.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control principles.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can adapt to the dynamic environment of the bar, lounge, and salon industries while ensuring sound financial management.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and salon management software.
  • Experience with payroll for tipped employees and commission-based compensation.

Remuneration
N80,000 per month.
