Jerome Adams is nearing a return to competitive action after a brief injury layoff, DAILY POST reports.
Adams sustained a calf injury in training last month and has been sidelined since.
The 24-year-old has stepped up his recovery by rejoining team training this week.
Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta provided a positive injury update on the striker ahead of this weekend’s La Liga clash with Athletic Bilbao.
“We are very happy because everyone is recovering, and the infirmary is almost empty. Adams has completed a good part of the training and is progressing well,” Pimienta told the club’s official website.
The Nigerian joined Sevilla on a permanent transfer from Ligue 1 club Montpellier in January.
He has made just one appearance for the Rojiblancos.
