American sprint hurdling champion Masai Russell is pumped for another iconic season, following her world-leading performance at the Texas Tech Corky Classic in Lubbock.
The 24-year-old stormed to the 60mH win in a brilliant time of 7.89s to officially kick off her 2025 season. She finished ahead of her training partner and world record holder Devynne Charlton in 7.93s, while veteran Christina Clemons was third in 8.04s.
Reacting to her performance, Russell shared the video of her race on her Instagram page with the caption: “7.89 SEASON OPENER… let the season begin ⚡️.”
