What happened 

As Pulse Sports reported, Manchester United’s woes continued at Old Trafford as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat, their fifth loss in seven home games under Ruben Amorim. 

The afternoon took a turn for the worse in the 77th minute when Lisandro Martinez suffered an injury while attempting to cut off a through ball intended for Ismaila Sarr. Martinez crumpled to the ground in distress, prompting the United medical team to rush onto the pitch and provide immediate attention. 

With Martinez unable to put weight on his leg, the medical staff were forced to stretcher him off, adding to the growing concerns about his fitness.

Speaking after the match, the Red Devils head coach feared the worst, stating that the situation was serious. The player has now undergone tests that confirm he has hurt his ACL and is effectively ruled out for a considerable amount of time.
