When asked to pick the most exciting players in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad, Wanyama’s eyes lit up as he named Lookman as his top choice.
“I have to say Ademola Lookman,” Wanyama said with a smile. “He has been doing well. He won the Europa League for Atalanta, and also in the AFCON he did well. He’s been doing well in the qualifiers. So, he’s on fire right now.”
Ademola Lookman has now scored three goals in three matches for Atalanta.
Wanyama’s enthusiasm for Lookman is understandable, given the Nigerian forward’s incredible form.
As a key player for Atalanta, the current Europa League champions, Lookman has been on fire, scoring an impressive 17 goals and providing six assists in just 30 matches this season.

“At the moment, I’d have to choose between Victor Boniface and [Victor] Osimhen, who is doing well also,” he added.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been prolific, netting 20 goals and contributing five assists in 27 appearances.
