Senator Kabir Garba Marafa has commiserated with the people of Talata Mafara over the market gunpowder explosion, which he said involved over 44 persons, according to reports.

In a statement he issued on Thursday his spokesman, Adamu Garba Anka, the senator received the news of the explosion with dismay.

The statement added that it is believed to have been caused by the powder of a traditionally made weapon.

“Natural disasters are unstoppable, but we need measures and strategies to always counter potential disasters,” he added.

“We are extending our heartfelt message of sympathy to the affected victims, their families, Talata Mafara Local Government, and the Zamfara State Government. May Almighty Allah (SWT) grant them a quick recovery.”
