Britain’s most successful track and field athlete reportedly wants to sell one of his luxury properties.

Sir Mo Farah, Britain’s most decorated track and field athlete, is making headlines once again, but this time it’s not for his on-track heroics.

 The Somali-born Olympic legend, who is one of the world’s richest track and field athletes, has reportedly put his luxurious eight-bedroom Surrey mansion up for sale with a staggering £6 million price tag.

The property, nestled within an exclusive gated estate, could net Farah a £2 million profit just six years after he purchased it for £4 million.

 According to The Sun, the stunning three-story home spans an impressive 7,829 sq ft and offers a wealth of opulent features.

Described as a “generous and welcoming” residence, the mansion boasts eight spacious bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and even an outdoor swimming pool. 

Savills estate agents, speaking to The Sun, highlighted the home’s standout features:

Farah retired from competitive running in September 2023 after finishing fourth at the Great North Run. 

Known for his down-to-earth personality, Farah recently made headlines for chasing thieves who snatched his mobile phone during a jog on his estate.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest runners of all time, Mo Farah won ten global championship gold medals (four Olympic and six World titles).

The medals have made him the most successful male track distance runner ever, and he is the most successful British track athlete in modern Olympic Games history.

Farah spent his early childhood living in Somaliland and Djibouti.

 He was illegally taken to the United Kingdom at age 9.
