Nigerian Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has hinted at a revolution to the NPFL.
Nigerian-born, Ghana-based singer Oluwatosin Ajibade known as Mr. Eazi has now is now involved in basketball.
The 31-year-old entrepreneur is now a shareholder of South African basketball powerhouse the Cape Town Tigers.
The Cape Town Tigers are one of the biggest basketball teams on the African continent.
They participate in the Basketball African League (BAL) organized by the NBA as well as other top-flight FIBA competitions.

Mr. Eazi took to social media to reveal his involvement with the Cape Town Tigers on Monday, January 24, 2023.
In a message on his official Twitter account, Mr. Eazi stated that his decision to get involved in basketball was influenced by American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur Shawn Carter, known professionally as Jay-Z.
Jay-Z was involved with the NBA franchise the Brooklyn Nets which is now owned by Hong Kong-Canadian billionaire Joseph Tsai.
The message by Mr. Eazi about the Cape Town Tigers said, “I read that Jay’z got shares in a NYC basketball team! So I had to do my own to ff my mentor!!
“Happy to announce I am now a shareholder of @CapeTownTigers the best basketball team in Africa from now going forward! See you at the next game! Honoured to be part of The family.”
The Cape Town Tigers also confirmed the addition of Mr. Eazi to the ownership group.
The message by the Cape Town Tigers said, “We are excited to welcome @mreazi as the newest shareholder of our team! He brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the team, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Mr. Eazi is expected to be in attendance at the next Cape Town Tigers home fixture.

Mr Eazi took to his official X account to post about the Nigeria Premier Football League.
According to the post, Mr Eazi has a lot in the works and wanted to let it be known.
He wrote, “I’ve got my eyes on NPFL.”
Mr Eazi the pioneer of Banku music and a major stakeholder in betPawa was key in the betting company choosing to sponsor the Ghana Premier League.
The betting company over three years invested $6 million in the Ghana Premier League.
Mr Eazi was involved with the negotiations to secure the deal to sponsor the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Football is not the only interest of Mr Eazi as he is a major shareholder of South African basketball powerhouse the Cape Town Tigers.
