Ancelotti was commenting on the lack of playing time for some of Real’s young stars, including Arda Guler and Endrick.
Guler has only started seven matches this season, while Endrick has not started a single LaLiga game.

Ancelotti has denied that there are any problems with the two youngsters, but he has challenged them to show more determination to earn a place in the starting XI.

The Italian manager believes that it is normal for young players to be frustrated when they are not playing, but he wants them to channel that frustration into positive performances on the pitch.
He believes that Guler and Endrick have the potential to be great players for Real Madrid but they need to show more hunger and desire to succeed.
“Any players who have doubts can speak to me directly,” Ancelotti said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign a Manchester United target.
“I speak every day with young players, with Endrick and with Guler. I have read that there is a problem (with Guler) but this is not something I am aware of. The competition for places is very high.
“I am with these young players every day, sometimes they are happy and sometimes they are not. This is absolutely normal. I want players who are angry if they don’t play.
“Endrick is not going to be Rodrygo or Vinicius Junior but he is going to be a great striker. There is no Endrick issue at the moment, let’s see what happens.”

Real Madrid are competing for trophies on three fronts, with Los Blancos currently second in LaLiga, through to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey and the last 16 of the Champions League, where they face local rivals Atletico Madrid for a place in the last eight.

Ancelotti’s men face Real Sociedad away in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final on Wednesday.
