Galatasaray’s talisman, Victor Osimhen, has taken legal action against the Turkish journalist who accused him of assault.

Super Eagles ace Victor Osimhen has reportedly taken legal action against Tolga Bozduman, the Turkish journalist who alleged the Nigeria international assaulted him. 

The Nigerian striker has found himself at the centre of controversy after being accused of assaulting a Turkish journalist. The alleged incident was reportedly caught on tape, sparking widespread debate.

Turkish legend Sinan Engin has warned Victor Osimhen about his recent performance at Galatasaray in light of the growing expectations of supporters.

What happened? 

As Pulse Sports reported, a dramatic scene unfolded late Thursday evening, just days after Galatasaray’s underwhelming UEFA Europa League performance. 

Victor Osimhen, clad in a bright yellow hoodie and beanie, was exiting an upscale nightlife spot with his entourage when photographers swarmed around him. Eyewitnesses claim that the situation rapidly spiralled out of control.

As camera shutters clicked away, Osimhen allegedly lost his composure, with allegations surfacing that he physically assaulted one of the journalists.

Bozduman further alleged that Osimhen attempted to bribe him in a bid to sweep the incident under the rug.

Osimhen sues

The Cim-Bom striker has been bullish in the face of this accusation. Following the victory against Konyaspor yesterday, in which he scored the winner, the striker narrated the event from his point of view.

He stated explicitly that he did not physically assault Bozduman, tagging the journalist’s version of events as lies. Today, a Nigerian broadcaster close to Osimhen, Buchi, relayed that the Super Eagles star is pursuing legal redress.
