Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will not give up on the Premier League title race despite Liverpool opening an 11-point gap
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is refusing to give up on the Premier League title race, despite falling behind Liverpool by eleven points.
The Gunners have come second in the last two Premier League campaigns, finishing behind Manchester City on both occasions.

Jamie Carragher has revealed that clubs have started copying Arsenal routines.

With the Cityzens having regressed this season, Mikel Arteta’s side stood a healthy chance of claiming their first league title since 2004. Instead, they are now set for a third consecutive season in second place, with 11 points separating them and league leaders Liverpool.
What Areteta said
With 12 games left in the Premier League season, Arsenal’s chances of clawing back to catch the Reds are increasingly bleak. Despite having a game in hand that could see the 11 points difference reduced to eight, even the most ardent Arsenal supporters are starting to have their faith waver.

Arteta, however, remains hopeful until it becomes mathematically impossible to catch Liverpool. While he put up a brave face, he acknowledged the difficulty of the task at hand, charging his team to do the unprecedented.
“Over my dead body.” Arteta said, when asked if they had given up on catching Liverpool. “If I stop believing I will go home, guys. Mathematically, it’s possible.
“If you want to win the Premier League, then you’ll have to do something special. If you want to win the Premier League with the circumstances we have, probably have to do something nobody has done in the history of the Premier League.”
