The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has sealed a strategic partnership with the Nollywood industry to integrate polytechnic students into the creative industry.

The partnership was formalized between NAPS National President, Comr. Eshiofune Paul Oghayan, and the Nollywood industry, represented by the 8th National President of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP), Queen Blessing Ebigieson.

A statement issued on Friday by NAPS National President, Eshiofune Paul Oghayan, stated: “The high-level meeting focused on empowering students through structured collaborations that will provide hands-on experience in filmography, cinematography, production, costume design, modeling, and other creative arts fields.”

The NAPS President emphasized the need to create more opportunities for polytechnic students, allowing them to gain professional exposure through auditions, mentorship programs, workshops, and skill acquisition initiatives in Nollywood.

According to him, the collaboration will equip students with industry-relevant skills, fostering self-employment and career growth in the entertainment sector.

AMP President, Queen Blessing Ebigieson, welcomed the partnership, affirming her commitment to supporting young creatives and ensuring that the entertainment industry plays an active role in youth development.

She pledged to facilitate programs that would connect students with key Nollywood stakeholders, provide industry exposure, and unlock job opportunities.

Both organizations agreed to formalize the partnership through nationwide talent scouting, industry-driven capacity-building workshops, and internship placements to help students gain practical knowledge and experience in filmmaking and production.

This landmark partnership highlights Nollywood’s commitment to national development and further establishes polytechnic students as key contributors to the creative economy.
