Mourinho displays his tolerance amid racism allegations

The 62-year-old is currently embroiled in a racism controversy after Galatasaray released a statement accusing him of using a derogatory sentence with racist undertones.

Mourinho said the Galatasaray bench were jumping like monkeys when protesting a refereeing decision during the Istanbul derby, and the Cim-Bom took offence. Amid the fallout, former Mourinho players Michael Essien and Didier Drogba, two African stars, came out to defend their old boss.

The sentiment of the two African football legends tallies with that of the greater football community, as football fans refused to believe a manager who has shown acceptance to all races and creeds is racist.

The former Chelsea boss Instagram post reinforced the belief football fans have in him, as he joined in wishing Muslims well during their holy month.
