Vinicius Junior has reportedly become a club owner.
Vinicius Junior has taken his influence beyond the pitch, leading a £6.7 million takeover of Portuguese club FC Alverca as they push for a top-flight promotion.
The Real Madrid winger and this year’s Ballon d’Or contender, sealed the purchase ahead of their highly anticipated Champions League round of 16 second leg against Manchester City.
The Brazilian star, who played a key role in Madrid’s dramatic 3-2 first-leg victory, provided the stoppage-time assist for Jude Bellingham’s winner last week.

Now, The Sun reports he has finalised a deal to become the majority owner of Alverca, a second-tier Portuguese club with ambitions of making it to the Primeira Liga.
The club confirmed the sale in an official statement:
“Ricardo Vicintin has sold his qualified stake in the public limited company to a group of investors. More information on the matter will be communicated in due course.”
Reports suggest that Vinicius now owns between 70-80% of Alverca’s shares, making him the dominant force behind their future plans.

Alverca, a club located near Lisbon, currently sit second in Liga Portugal 2, putting them in prime position for a historic promotion to the top division, where they would face Portuguese powerhouses like Sporting Lisbon, Porto, and Benfica next season.
This move comes just a year after Alverca won Liga 3, a remarkable achievement given their financial collapse in 2005 that forced them to fold for a year.
They previously competed in the Primeira Liga from 1998-2003, but have spent most of the last two decades outside the elite tier.
With Vinicius’ financial backing and football expertise, Alverca’s dream of returning to Portugal’s top flight could soon become a reality.
Their home stadium, Complexo Desportivo, which has a capacity of 7,705, might soon be welcoming the country’s biggest clubs.
Meanwhile, Vinicius’ focus remains on Madrid’s Champions League campaign, as Los Blancos aim to knock out Manchester City and continue their push for another European crown.
With the Brazilian named Man of the Match in the first leg, he is expected to be a game-changer yet again on Wednesday night.
