According to reports, Victor Boniface has signed a new contract with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface has been an exceptional player for Leverkusen since joining the German side in 2023.
Following his performance, he has drawn interest from top teams in Europe, having scored six goals this season.
Although he has been out injured since December, he is set to return from injury against Leipzig.

Boniface’s new contract
According to Sky Sports Germany, Boniface and Bayer Leverkusen have agreed to a contract extension by one year, which was previously scheduled to expire in 2028.
In his new contract, Boniface will receive a significant pay increase, which would double his former salary of three million euros to six million euros (about N9.5 billion in Nigerian currency) per season.
Following the rumours of a possible transfer, Leverkusen have decided to tie their star player down with an extra one.
Last season, Boniface helped Leverkusen win the Bundesliga and DFB Cup, as well as advance to the UEFA Europa League final, earning him the award of 2023–2024 Bundesliga Rookie of the Season.
The 24-year-old has played in 49 games for Bayer Leverkusen, tallying 29 goals and dishing out 11 assists.
