Reports suggest that the Milan boss’ heated reaction after Sunday’s Parma win was caused by the pre-match actions of some of the team.

AC Milan manager Sergio Conceicao clashed with defender Davide Calabria following the team’s 3-2 win over Parma. The incident occurred after the final whistle and was witnessed by fans and journalists.

Tijjani Reijnders and Samuel Chukwueze scored second-half goals in stoppage time to turn a potential 2-1 loss into a dramatic 3-2 victory after Christian Pulisic’s penalty had cancelled out  Matteo Cancellieri’s 24th-minute opener.

Enrico Del Prato restored Parma’s advantage with 10 minutes of the 90 remaining, only for the Dutchman and Nigerian winger to score in the game’s closing stages to notch Milan’s fourth comeback victory since Conceicao took charge.

However, despite the win, Conceicao was involved in a fiery exchange with Calabria at full-time.

Reports in Italy suggest that the manager’s anger was sparked by the actions of some of his players in the build-up to the match.

Several senior players, including Calabria, reportedly attended a concert two nights before the game. The other players in attendance, per the report, were Theo Hernandez, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Francesco Camarda.

Conceicao was apparently unhappy with the players’ decision to attend the concert so close to an important match.

He is said to have confronted Calabria about the incident after the game, leading to the heated exchange.

At the time of filing this report, it is not known if Chukwueze was part of said group, though information gathered points to the Nigerian not being in attendance at last Friday’s Lazza concert.
