Ukraine will not be able to defend itself without support from the United States.

This was disclosed by Polish President Andrzej Duda on Wednesday.

This comes after Donald Trump ordered a pause of all military aid for Ukraine until Kiev proved its commitment to holding peace talks amid the war with Russia.

“Ukraine will not be able to defend itself without the support of the United States,’’ Duda told The Wall Street Journal.

He said the situation was going to be very tough for Ukraine unless is in for difficult times unless Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chose to come back to the negotiating table.

Talks between United States President Donald Trump and Zelenskyy in Washington collapsed last Friday after they had a heated argument in front of reporters in the Oval Office.

Zelenskyy was criticised for what United States Vice President JD Vance described as a lack of gratitude and disrespectful behaviour.
