Chelsea under new boss Enzo Maresca have gone from potential title contenders earlier in the season to battling to stay in the race for Champions League places.
Speaking on the podcast, the Nigerian was unhappy with what he has seen from the Blues this season, stating that this is not the club he supports.

Mikel, who says he is just a fan and will not hold back on the truth because he loves the club, specifically called out attackers like Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke, stating that they haven’t lived up to their price tags and the high expectations surrounding them.
“Jadon Sancho came in and deceived us with a couple of games, and we thought, ‘we are getting there Sancho from Dortmund’, but he’s gone again,” Mikel stated on his podcast.

“I don’t know what happened to him, but he has disappeared off the grid. He takes the ball, he doesn’t go past people anymore, he doesn’t create chances anymore. He doesn’t help the team as much as he should.”
Despite the recent setbacks, the Blues currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, just a point behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

However, Mikel’s comments reflect growing concerns among fans about the team’s consistency and ability to compete with the league’s top clubs.
