There was a planned attack by bandits on Dan Takuri village, Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State, which was repelled by DSS operatives.

Acting on credible intelligence from DSS operatives in Danmusa, security forces invaded Maijele Mountain, where the terrorists had gathered for their notorious activities.

DAILY POST gathered that there was a serious gun battle, which resulted in the neutralization of one suspected bandit, while others fled with various degrees of gunshot wounds.

It was also learnt that the security operatives recovered some ammunition, including one AK-47 rifle with three rounds of ammunition, an unregistered Boxer motorcycle, 50 wraps of suspected Indian hemp, 32 bottles of soft drinks, a cutlass, and dangerous drugs.

The State Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Abubakar Musa, commended the efforts of the security operatives for their bravery and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to crushing criminal elements.

The commissioner urged the public to remain vigilant and provide timely intelligence to security agencies.
