In a new Nike roadside banner ad, Sha’Carri Richardson and LeBron James were featured distinctively.
Renowned shoe brand Nike recently celebrated track star Sha’Carri Richardson and basketball legend LeBron James in a new ad as their brand ambassadors.
Nike’s marketing team innovatively showed Richardson in a roadside banner with the tagline “Here to have the times of my life” and on the flip side had LeBron’s face with the line – “This isn’t a game to me.”

Reeling with pride, the American sprint queen shared the ad on her Instagram page using the caption: “If you have a dream, don’t let it go✨.”

It isn’t the first time Richardson and the legendary LeBron James have been used in a campaign ad by Nike.
In July last year, as part of Nike’s Olympic campaign, they made statues for some of their ambassadors, with Richardson and LeBron James one of the athletes created. This move caused an uproar in the track and field community, as many felt the sprint queen didn’t deserve such honour ahead of many other athletes such as Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

Nike has started a new Paris Olympic Games campaign by unveiling Sha’Carri Richardson’s statue alongside other sponsored stars Kylian Mbappe and Lebron James.
However, for Richardson, the Paris Olympics was her redemption tour after the heartbreak of the Tokyo Games. She will later prove her mettle in the French city by winning 100m silver medal behind Julien Alfred and anchoring Team USA’s 4x100m relay squad to the gold medal.

LeBron James, who was also making a return to the Olympics after twelve years, was the captain and flagbearer of Team USA. He led the American basketball team to the gold medal, where Richardson cheered from the stands in the final wearing a custom made by Nike Dunks corset.

While the LA Lakers power forward has already engraved his name as one of the greatest sportsmen in history, Richardson is on her path to that. If she continues in the trajectory of her success in the past two years, the 24-year-old will surely end her career among the greats in women’s sprinting history.
