Former Edo State Deputy Governor and Bendel Insurance FC Chairman, Phillip Shaibu, has expressed strong belief that the Super Eagles can still secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite their current struggles in Group C. New head coach Eric Chelle will be tasked with leading the team in two crucial qualifiers—against Rwanda in Kigali on March 17 and Zimbabwe in Uyo on March 24. Shaibu remains optimistic, stating that the players have the right mindset and are fully committed to turning things around.
