The Dutch tactician, known for his success at Ajax, and struggles in Manchester, is said to have been in Dortmund’s plans for weeks, functioning as a “shadow coach” in anticipation of a managerial change.
With Sandro Wagner and Roger Schmidt ruling themselves out of contention, Ten Hag appears to be the leading candidate to take the reins.
