Nigeria international goalkeeper John Noble believes the Super Eagles are favourites to win the African Nations Championship (CHAN) for the first time, despite being drawn into a challenging group.

He dismissed any concerns about facing defending champions Senegal.
“The group is tough, as expected, because every team worked really hard to qualify. And to be the best team in Africa, you have to face the best teams,” Noble told Flashscore.
He continued, “Our Super Eagles must be prepared for every game, and I truly believe they can handle the challenge. Senegal may be the defending champions, but that’s history now. The results won’t be decided by on the pages of newspapers, but by what happens on the field within 90 minutes.”

The new coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, is confident that he will achieve the intended outcome, which would disprove his critics about his managerial skills.
The goalkeeper believes Senegal should be more concerned about facing Nigeria.
“So, I don’t see any reason to panic about being in the same group with them. Honestly, I think they are worried about playing Nigeria because of our strong football reputation and what we’re capable of achieving,” he asserted.
