Tottenham Hotspur’s injury problems have taken another hit, with defender Radu Dragusin expected to miss the rest of the season due to a severe knee injury.

The Romanian international, who came on at halftime in Spurs’ Europa League clash against Elfsborg last week, lasted just 20 minutes before being forced off.

Manager Ange Postecoglou acknowledged the severity of the injury at the time, stating, “Radu’s hurt his knee now.

It didn’t look good as he was coming off, so we’ll have to wait and see.” Now, reports confirm Dragusin has suffered an ACL injury, requiring surgery that will sideline him for six months.

His absence is a significant blow for both the player and Tottenham, who are already struggling with form in the Premier League while juggling campaigns in the Europa League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup.

The club is dealing with a lengthy injury list that includes Dominic Solanke, Cristian Romero, Wilson Odobert, James Maddison, Destiny Udogie, Guglielmo Vicario, Timo Werner, and Brennan Johnson.

However, most of them are expected to return within the month—unlike Dragusin, whose season is effectively over.

In response to their defensive crisis, Spurs moved quickly to sign Kevin Danso from Lens as a direct replacement.

Meanwhile, they continue to push for the loan signing of Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel, competing with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea for his signature.

However, Tottenham have pulled out of a move for Chelsea’s Axel Disasi, who reportedly preferred a switch to Aston Villa.

With the transfer window closing on Monday evening, Tottenham are scrambling for solutions to keep their season on track despite mounting setbacks.
