Chelsea are reportedly close to signing a defender with familial links to an Arsenal player.
Chelsea are on the verge of signing 16-year-old Brazilian defender Denner from Corinthians for a fee of £10.5 million, as per GE Globo.
The young player is the cousin of Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes, who has become one of Europe’s finest centre-backs since moving to North London.

Chelsea’s Denner interest
Denner has impressed at Corinthians and is considered one of the best young defenders in Brazil.
He has made 18 appearances for the club’s youth team and has scored four goals and provided one assist.
Chelsea are hoping to develop the 16-year-old into a first-team player in the future, and they believe that he has the potential to become a top-class defender.
The possible signing of Denner is another example of the West London club’s commitment to investing in young talent.

According to reports, Denner is expected to join Chelsea in the summer of 2025 but will require a work permit before he can play in the Premier League. He does not turn 18 until next year, though, and will be ineligible to represent the London club until 2026.
