Fulham have reportedly contacted AC Milan for Samuel Chukwueze’s signature.
Fulham have reportedly contacted AC Milan to sign Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze before the transfer window shuts.
Chelsea’s Samuel Chukwueze is set to join AC Milan on a loan move.
The Derby della Madonnina ends with share spoils as Stefan de Vrij earned Inter a late point.
Chukwueze’s situation
The 25-year-old joined Milan in the summer of 2023. He penned a long-term deal, which would keep him at the club until 2028; however, his performances have not gone as anticipated.
He never really cemented his place as the first-team right-winger, and brilliant performances have been few and far between for him.
Hence, he was included in the club’s clear-out plan, which has already seen Alvaro Morata leave for Galatasaray after only joining in the summer.
Fulham swooping in
Given the club’s stance to let him go, the Nigerian has been linked with a move to a number of clubs all window, including Premier League sides.
With the window closing in hours, it seemed Chukwueze was set to stay; however, a report from Fabrizio Romani tonight revealed the Cottagers have initiated contact with Milan to sign the Nigerian.
Deadline is only a couple of hours away, hence Fulham face a race against time to complete the deal. Should it go over the line before the clock strikes midnight Nigerian time (23:00 GMT), Chukwueze would join his compatriots Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at the club.
