What Van Nistelrooy said

Van Nistelrooy has made it clear that Ndidi remains a vital part of his plans at Leicester City.

“No, of course not. Wilfred is a key player and person in the squad and in the club and I’m glad he is nearly there to help the team again. We know how much we’ve missed him and we know we need him. Wilf is key in the coming months, a key part of this team that can get us out of this situation,” he told BBC.

Ndidi has been sidelined with injury for some part of the season but is nearing a return to full fitness.

His presence will be a major boost for Leicester City, who currently find themselves in the relegation zone of the Premier League table.
