Woman arraigned after she gave false testimony in Zion Ministry that she bought a house

Loveth Helen Alo, 32, has been arraigned before the Enugu North Magisterial District Court for allegedly making false claims of owning a five-bedroom duplex located at the WTC Estate, Enugu.
The spokesperson for the Enugu State Police Command, SP Daniel Ndukwe, in a statement on Tuesday, March 11, said, “Detectives from the Enugu State Police Command attached to the Legal Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, on February 1, 2025, arrested the suspect following a petition alleging that she falsely claimed ownership of a five-bedroom duplex located at the WTC Estate, Enugu.”
Alo went to Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach in Lagos to give a testimony that God blessed her with the house and Evangelist Ebuka Obi used her “blessing” as a reference to pray for his members.
However, she was eventually exposed after being seen selling drinks in a small shop.
During interrogation, she confessed to giving a false testimony and said that she acted alone.
Ndukwe explained that Alo was charged with five counts, including obtaining by false pretence with intent to defraud, defamation of character, and attempting to commit a felony by trying to sell the property.
She was granted bail, and the case was adjourned to April 9, 2025, for further hearing by the police, the spokesman said.
