WWE and TNA have confirmed a historic partnership.

In a groundbreaking move for the world of professional wrestling, WWE and TNA Wrestling have announced a multi-year partnership poised to revolutionise the industry.

 The collaboration, revealed just weeks ahead of the highly anticipated 2025 Royal Rumble, promises unparalleled crossover opportunities for talent across both promotions.

The partnership, which unites WWE, a TKO Group Holdings entity, with TNA Wrestling, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment, is set to create a seamless bridge for talent exchange.

 WWE’s NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling’s roster will now have opportunities to shine across major platforms, including NXT (airing live on The CW) and TNA’s flagship programme iMPACT!.

“This historic relationship demonstrates that collaboration and competition do not have to be mutually exclusive,” said Ariel Shnerer, TNA’s Senior Vice President of Content & Distribution via a press release.

 “Our partnership allows TNA Wrestling to reach a wider audience while giving WWE stars the chance to gain valuable experience alongside one of the most talented rosters in the business.”

WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels, echoed similar sentiments, adding: 

“We look forward to evolving this partnership by creating opportunities for talent development while elevating the viewer experience.”

WWE and TNA Crossover highlights of 2024

The past year has provided a glimpse of the synergy between the two brands. Former TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace faced Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship, while Joe Hendry battled Ethan Page for the NXT Championship at No Mercy.

Meanwhile, WWE stars including Wes Lee, Gallus, and Wendy Choo made waves in TNA’s iMPACT!, rekindling old alliances and establishing fresh rivalries. 

The Rascalz reunion storyline particularly stood out, delighting fans of both promotions.

With Royal Rumble season fast approaching, the timing of this partnership adds an extra layer of unpredictability to the iconic event.
