United States President Donald Trump, on Friday, approved of his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky’s, attire for his visit to the White House.

Zelensky had arrived at the White House ahead of his meeting with Trump.

Both presidents are expected to sign a mineral deal that could potentially bring an end to the war between Ukraine and Russia.

However, welcoming Zelensky to the White House, Trump remarked: “Oh, you’re all dressed up.”

Since the war in Ukraine began, Zelensky has attended meetings with world leaders wearing military attire to signify that he is actively engaged in the war against Russia to defend his country.

During his meeting with Trump, Zelensky was still not wearing a suit but opted for a more formal black uniform, paired with black trousers and black boots.

A few days ago, Trump and Zelensky were engaged in a war of words.

Trump had described Zelensky as a “failed comedian who became president.”

The US President, in a post on his X handle, also referred to Zelensky as a “dictator without an election” who had “deceived America into spending billions of dollars on a war with Russia that can’t be won.”

On Thursday, however, Trump denied making the statement, insisting that he had no recollection of making such remarks.
